AC FOLLOWING DENILSON

AC Milan are looking to sign the Arsenal midfielder Denilson, who is currently on a loan deal with the Brazilian club São Paulo till the end of the season. The 24-year-old was a first-team regular for Arsenal a few seasons ago, but he has fell out-of-favour with then manager Arsene Wenger, with Jack Wilshere getting the defensive midfielder role.

As a result, the club decided to send him out on a loan deal to his home country Brazil and see if he discovers his form. Last season was extremely productive for the midfielder who made 37 appearances for the Brazilian club. He had actually made his debut for São Paulo after coming on as a young player before moving to Arsenal in 2006.

Now, it has been rumours that the Italian club AC Milan would be looking at the possibility to sign the player. Even though he is currently with the Brazilian club on a loan deal till the end of the season, Arsenal have inserted a clause in the loan transfer terms that allows them to recall the player and sell him to another club. Milan have lost a number of high profile players over the summer, which has reduced the quality within the squad considerably.

Milan have also been subjected to the wrath of the fans, who have condemned the club for selling a lot of the important players. Milan see Denilson as an ideal opportunity to invest in the future because the 24-year-old still has a lot of football left in him. It remains to be seen if they will be able to come to an agreement with the Premier league club in the remaining few days of the transfer window. It is expected that Denilson would cost at least £ 10 million, which may seem a little bit higher for the Italian club.
