JET LAG HITS BRAZILIANS

The manager of the Brazilian national football team, Luiz Felipe Scolari, has said that his players are struggling with jet lag and he doesn’t expect them to be at their best in the friendly game against South Korea which is going to be played at Seoul tomorrow.

The Brazilian players reached South Korea for this game just a couple of days ago and because of the huge time difference between these two countries; they are not feeling comfortable at all.

Talking to the reporters in the press conference earlier today, Scolari said, “Because of the long flight, most of the guys were exhausted. So, we only had a light training session on the first day and then, yesterday, we only did some workouts.”

“Frankly speaking, I am not expecting that much from the boys. They are not in the perfect conditions at the moment.”

In spite of the jet lag, Brazil is still the favourite team to win tomorrow’s match. They have played superbly in recent times and they are probably the most in form team in the world at this point of time.

But, Scolari is not taking the opposition lightly. According to him, the South Korean team is pretty good and they will mount a strong challenge.

The Brazil boss said, “The performance of the South Korean team has been pretty good off late.”

“This is the 8th time that they have made it to the World Cup finals. They have got some quality in their squad.”

Meanwhile, the reports are coming through that Brazil’s star player Neymar will get fit in time to feature in tomorrow’s game. The 21 years old Barcelona striker had injured himself while taking part in the training session and he was looking in complete discomfort while being taken off the ground by the medical staff.  But, fortunately for Brazil, that injury didn’t prove to be a major one.
