Campbell Expects First Team Placement After World Cup

After a remarkable campaign with Costa in the 2014 World Cup, Joel Campbell is expecting that he can make his return to into the main squad of Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium in Arsenal.

Joel Campbell joined Arsenal on August of 2011 but has not made a single appearance for the Premier League club as he has been on loan deals to Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos but now that all of those have reached their end, the Costa Rican attacker wants to play for Arsenal and help them lift trophies.

Campbell told the media: “I believe I’ll be returning to Arsenal for next season. It’s been a beautiful World Cup for Costa Rica. It’s gone very well. Qualifying first in a very difficult group is important, but now we have to focus on the last 16.We weren’t concerned about who we got drawn against in the first round, we were simply pleased to be there, but now we are determined to go further.”

This is the first time in the history of Costa Rica that they have managed on entering the quarter-finals of any World Cup and Joel Campbell has played a pivotal role in this monumental achievement.

Ac.Milan’s Mario Balotelli remains being a top target of Arsene Wenger as the French tactician wants to reinforce the attacking department of Arsenal and Balotelli has always been a player that Wenger enjoys watching on the pitch.

Liverpool is also another possible destination for Mario Balotelli as the team of Brendan Rodgers will want to search around the transfer market for a possible replacement of Luis Suarez in case if the Uruguayan attacker does leave Anfield in this transfer window.
